The Best Vegan Mushroom Gravy

Welcome to the ninth day of goodness! Today's recipe is of utmost importance as we present to you a vegan gravy recipe. Everyone loves a good gravy, especially during the holiday season, so it is absolutely crucial that everyone, no matter their dietary needs, can enjoy this Christmas dinner staple. We think this mushroom gravy is pretty darn amazing and will be loved by all, as long as you're not one of those strange mushroom-haters. Otherwise, mushroom fans can now enjoy meat-free gravy and we have a feeling you're going to love it as much as we do.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup vegan butter

1/4 cup all purpose flour

3 2/3 cup vegetable broth

450g pack of cremini mushrooms, sliced

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Heat butter in a saucepan until bubbling, then add the mushrooms.

Simmer for about 20 minutes until there is little to no liquid left.

Stir in the flour and add the vegetable broth. Season with salt and pepper to taste and let it simmer for another 30 minutes, stirring often, until it thickens.
